Tall Horse Wines (Various)

6 x 75cl Bottles

Tall Horse takes its name from a nickname given to giraffes when they were first brought to Paris from Africa in the 1820s. Like these elegant creatures, Tall Horse wines stem from Africa, and their grapes are grown in near perfect conditions in the famous Western Cape Winelands. Marked by rolling vineyards and majestic mountains, the Cape Winelands are spectacular in beauty and blessed with a rich winemaking heritage that is over 350 years old.

The vineyards from which Tall Horse sources its grapes benefit from long hot summers and cold wet winters with cooling ocean breezes to create balanced, expressive wines packed full of fruity flavours. South Africa also boasts some of the most ancient soils on earth and a varied topography across all its winemaking regions.

Tall Horse wines are crushed and created in specifically selected cellars across the Western Cape Winelands, where the process from grape to bottle is meticulously overseen by current winemaker, Jaco Potgieter. The young wines are finally blended in cellars across Wellington and are then distributed across the world.

Jaco works tirelessly to ensure that all Tall Horse wines consistently deliver fruity and finely tuned flavours. He meticulously selects grapes from only the best vineyards including varied territories of mountain slopes and valley floors. Tall Horse wines signify the ultimate African expression, and masterfully balance ripeness with natural fruit acidity to create the signature style of its wines.

The cultivars produced by Tall Horse include Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Pinotage Rosé, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Pinotage and Merlot.
